We had a great time at our Baptism / Candle-Lighting Service on Christmas Eve. Alisha was baptized and we rejoice with her as she makes public her desire to follow Jesus as Lord.
Wednesday evenings.. "State of the Church". Over the next three weeks, we will be dealing with Biblical truths, discussing the place God has us in as a church and where we're going. We'll be meeting from 7 to 8:30 PM with a time for questions from 8:30 to 9 PM; childcare will be available for those under ten.
Communion will be celebrated next Sunday, January 3, during our services.
Women's Prayer / Praise will meet on January 11 at 7 PM. We look forward to having you join us during this time.
A Soup Supper will be shared on Sunday, December 20 at 5:00 PM. Please bring soup or breads to share. We'll look forward to having you with us. The caroling has been canceled due to cold weather.

Christmas Gift Giving... If you're looking for an idea for giving to others outside your family and friends, we have an answer. A brochure is available on the back table describing ways to help equip native Indian missionaries with tools they need to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through India. We'd like to be able to involve all the families we have, so if you or your children are willing to help, please fill out the bottom portion of the brochure. We would like to mail all the forms together, so please return it and your money to Pastor Dave today.

There will be an open house for Maudie's 84th birthday on Sunday, from 2-5 PM, at Jo's home.
We'd like to extend our condolences to Cathy's family concerning the death of her daughter Theresa on Thursday. Funeral services will be held at the church on Monday at 11 AM with a meal following. Please be in prayer for all lives touched by this tragedy.
Communion will be celebrated this morning as a part of our Morning Worship services.

We will not have evening services here tonight. Pastor Ron Blain of Douglas' Restoration Fellowship has invited us to join them this afternoon for a time of special ministry. If you would like to attend, meet us here at the church at 2:00 this afternoon and we'll drive down to their church together. Services there will begin at 3:30 and continue on into the night.
A Carry-In Dinner is planned for next Sunday, Nov. 22, following our Morning Worship Service. It is actually our week for Lunch Fellowships, so plan now to join us. Please bring a potato dish, salads, or breads. Meat will be provided. We look forward to having you with us next week for this meal!
Our Prayer Evening is also next Sunday. This is a special time of ministry for those who desire prayer and you are invited to join us at 6 PM.
Our women's retreat was this past Friday evening and Saturday. We'd like to thank Beth as our speaker and each of the women who participated. I believe each of the women who were able to attend were ministered to in a special way.
Derek M. will be speaking to us this morning as Pastor Dave is keeping a month of quiet. We appreciate each of the men who have been willing to allow the Lord to use them during this time. Pat K. will be speaking to us next Sunday and we look forward to having him join us to share in ministry.
We'd like to extend our condolences to Bob and Debbie K. and the boys on the death of Bob's dad last weekend. Please be in prayer for Bob's mom as she begins to work through this time of grief, and for Bob and Debbie as the Holy Spirit uses them to minister to her and the rest of the family.
We want to welcome Pastor Dave and Beth back with us this weekend. We enjoyed having Beth's father, Pastor Ola Campbell, minister with us last weekend. We want to encourage Bob Kelly as he'll be sharing with us this morning.
Ladies Retreat is this weekend. Please be praying that this will be a time of refreshment and encouragement for each person who attends. Also be in prayer for Beth as she speaks to us. If your are planning to attend the Retreat, please remember to check-in at the front desk between 5-6 PM and get your room keys. We'll be meeting in the Mardi Gras room for dinner at 6 PM.
October is "Pastor Appreciation Month." Though we are at the end of the month, please take the time to encourage Pastor Dave and Beth (and other pastors and their wives) and let them know that you do appreciate them and their faithfulness to us.
Pastor Dave and Beth are out of town this weekend at a conference in Colorado Springs. Beth's father, Pastor Ola Campbell, will be sharing with us this morning. We appreciate their being with us this morning.
Lunch fellowship will follow our Morning service. We hope you'll join us as we share with each other today. If you would like to barbecue, please bring meat to grill and a dish to share with others joining us. The fourth week of the month the children will stay in the sanctuary with us for a portion of our prayer time and then leave for a craft time.
This month, we'll be meeting for prayer this evening rather than next Sunday evening. We look forward to having you join us.
Sunday, October 25, is our Lunch Fellowship day. Please bring a main dish and a salad or vegetable to share with others who will join us. We always look forward to fellowship with each other during our lunch fellowships, so mark this on your calendar

Pastor Dave is teaching a Bible study on Wednesday evenings at 7 PM in his office. Due to his participation in the national March for Jesus rally in Austin, Texas, this particular Bible study will not be held this week.
Scott S. is also leading a Bible study on Wednesday evenings at 7 PM in the library. The subject is John, chapters 13 through 21. You are welcome to join either of these groups or to sit in on Scott's study this week in Pastor Dave's absence.
